The Central Comprehensive Center created this report to support informed decision-making on flexibility options for state assessments. It describes the innovative assessments identified in the U.S. Department of Education Innovation Assessment and Accountability Demonstration Authority (IADA); summarizes existing state IADA efforts; and presents possible next steps and issues to consider when deciding on whether to implement an innovative assessment system.
